Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the ZeniCash mobile application, the zenicash.com website and any related online services (together, "the Service"), provided by Manor Systems, Unipessoal Lda (NIPC 519 377 753), Rua da Figueira 126, 4820-645 São Clemente, Fafe, Portugal ("we", "us"). By installing, opening or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use it.

1. What the Service is — and what it is not

ZeniCash is a personal-finance, cashflow and invoice-tracking tool, free for personal use with a Premium tier designed for freelancers, self-employed professionals and small businesses.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service (or 13 with the verifiable consent of a parent or legal guardian, where local law permits). If you sign up on behalf of a business, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that business to these terms.

3. Your account and devices

The Free plan stores data locally on a single device, with no sign-in required. The Premium plan adds Cloud Sync across up to four devices, which requires you to sign in with a Google or Apple account. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials, in-app PIN and device secure. Sharing a single account across an unreasonable number of devices, or with people outside your household / team, may result in suspension.

4. Premium subscriptions and auto-renewal

Premium is sold through Apple App Store and Google Play in-app purchases. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time from Google Play > Subscriptions (Android) or App Store > Subscriptions (iOS); the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period and you retain Premium access until then. Deleting your ZeniCash account does not cancel the subscription — you must cancel it separately in the store. Billing, refunds, taxes and trial terms are governed by the store's policy.

6. Your data — accuracy and backups are your responsibility

We do not verify any data you enter manually or import from CSV, OFX or other formats. Bank statement parsing, receipt OCR, exchange-rate conversions and reports are heuristics that can miss or misread rows. You must independently verify all balances, figures and categorisations before making financial, tax, accounting, business or other decisions based on them.

We are not a backup service. Cloud Sync replicates your data across your devices but is not a substitute for backups. You are responsible for exporting (Settings > Export) and storing copies of any data you cannot afford to lose.

7. Third-party services

The Service depends on third-party providers (Google for Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Google Play Billing and ML Kit; Apple for Sign in with Apple and App Store Billing; exchangerate-api.com via open.er-api.com and the fawazahmed0/exchange-api project on jsdelivr / Cloudflare for exchange rates). We are not responsible for the availability, pricing changes or terms of those services. If a provider becomes unavailable, parts of the Service may degrade or temporarily stop working.

8. Service availability

We work hard to keep the Service available but do not warrant uninterrupted operation. Cloud Sync, exchange-rate fetching and store-billing flows can fail or be slow due to network or third-party issues outside our control. The local-only Free experience continues to work offline regardless.

9. Intellectual property

ZeniCash, the logo, the icon set, the localised strings and all UI assets are property of Manor Systems and protected by copyright and trademark law. You may use them only as part of the Service. The financial data you create inside the app remains yours; we make no claim over it.

10. Account suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, attempt to defraud Manor Systems or third parties, or use the Service in a way that puts our infrastructure at risk. Where the breach is curable, we will give you a reasonable opportunity to fix it first. Termination does not entitle you to a refund of any already-paid subscription period.

11. Account deletion by you

You can delete your account at any time from Settings > Cloud Sync > Delete account, or via the public deletion request page. Deletion is permanent. As noted in Section 4, deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active Premium subscription — cancel that separately in the store.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including (but not limited to) implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy of data, or uninterrupted availability. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties — in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the minimum permitted by law.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Manor Systems and its directors, employees and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, lost profits, lost revenue, lost savings, lost data, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service — including any financial, tax or business loss arising from decisions made on the basis of figures the app displayed.

Our total cumulative liability to you, for all claims arising in any 12-month period, will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us for Premium during that period or (b) €100. Mandatory consumer-protection rights under your local law (EU/EEA, UK, Brazil, etc.) are not affected by this clause.

14. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Manor Systems against any third-party claim, damage, loss or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of (a) your breach of these terms, (b) your misuse of the Service, (c) your violation of any law or third-party right, or (d) any data you stored in or transmitted through the Service that you had no right to store or transmit.

15. Force majeure

Neither party is liable for delay or failure to perform due to events outside its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, riot, government action, telecommunications or internet outages, third-party service-provider failures (including those of Google, Apple, exchange-rate providers and our hosting providers), cyber-attacks against shared infrastructure, pandemic, or labour disputes affecting carriers.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when the Service evolves or when law requires. Material changes will be surfaced in-app and on the website at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept the change, you may cancel your subscription and stop using the Service.

17. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes shall be submitted to the courts of Braga, Portugal. Consumers resident in the EU/EEA, UK, Brazil and other jurisdictions retain the rights granted to them by mandatory local consumer-protection law, which override this clause to the extent of any conflict. EU consumers may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.

18. Severability

If any provision of these terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a competent court, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect, and the invalid provision shall be replaced by an enforceable provision that most closely matches the original intent.

19. Entire agreement

These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any store-imposed billing terms, constitute the entire agreement between you and Manor Systems regarding the Service. They supersede any prior verbal or written communication on the same subject.
